That is a picture of the air screw, The transient enrichment valve cover is to the left of the screw. the very first screw next to the white arrow is the screw of choice. there is no other mixture screw on the bs40ss carb. and the canadian version pre 95 (American version) didnt have the brass plug either. it was just left open. the clifornia model however had the plug. and is viewed as being in a recess instead of flat with the carb body.
